About the course
Glenview Par 3 Golf Course is on Steve Irwin Way (the old Glasshouse Mountains Road) at Glenview, about 13 kilometres from Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast. The course describes itself as family owned and operated, although enquiries now go to a Discovery Parks management email address.
The course is a flat nine-hole par 3 layout that is easy to walk. It is offered as a shorter alternative to the full-length resort and public courses on the coast, with enough challenge for regular golfers while suiting beginners and social players. Hole lengths are not published.
Glenview runs as a green fee course: there are no members and no tee-time bookings, so visitors can turn up and play. The course website lists $26 for 18 holes and $20 for nine, with juniors 16 and under at $15 and $10. Hire clubs with a pull buggy cost $10, a pull buggy alone is $2, and electric carts are $20 for nine holes and $30 for 18. There are four carts, so call 07 5494 5999 to reserve one.
Regular groups play at set times, so check before visiting: - Tuesday: the gentlemen's club, 6am tee-off (7am in winter). - Wednesday and Saturday: Glenview Social Golf Club, 10am tee-off, names in by 9.30am. - Thursday: a Kawana Island Retirement group, 7am to 8am.
The shop is open from 6.30am to 5pm. It sells clubs, gloves, shirts, caps and umbrellas, and hires left and right-handed sets for adults and children. It also sells beer, wine, soft drinks, pies and snacks, and groups can use the licensed bar, gazebo and barbecue. Golf coaching is not offered at present, and gift vouchers are available.
