About the course

Isle of Coochie Golf Club is the golf course on Coochiemudlo Island, a short ferry or vehicle barge trip from Victoria Point. Its nine holes are laid out through natural bushland, and an 18-hole round is played by going around twice, with the holes paired as 1 and 10, 2 and 11 and so on.

Visitors are welcome to play nine or 18 holes on weekdays and on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. The course is reserved for the members' competition every Saturday from 7am to 11am, so non-members can tee off on a Saturday only after 11am, and any other lock-out times are posted on the club's website. Green fees are paid online through the club's casual play page, and golfers who want to lock in a date can contact the club through its enquiry form.

The club is run with the help of volunteers, who staff the bar and help with greens maintenance and other jobs. Its clubhouse area, known as The Shed, is the largest undercover entertainment space on the island, set among gardens with a licensed bar, food and easy parking, and it can be hired for private functions by emailing the club. On the last Saturday of most months the club hosts a free community Music Fun Day with live music, food, a licensed bar and raffles, and it holds events for occasions such as Australia Day, Anzac Day and Christmas in July.
