About the course
Tin Can Bay Country Club is at 220 Tin Can Bay Road, Tin Can Bay, and combines an 18-hole golf course with two bowling greens and an air-conditioned clubhouse. The club's website does not record a founding date or designer. Its course map shows the front nine laid out on one side of the clubhouse and bowling greens and the back nine on the other.
Social golf is available seven days a week. Arrange a tee time through the pro shop or the Golf Starter Box on 0409 727 577 or 07 5486 4231, between 7am and 5pm. Competition bookings are made through the club's MiClub system. The weekly program: - Monday: no competition, open to social play all day. - Tuesday: men's veterans. - Wednesday: women's competition. - Thursday and Friday: nine-hole club competitions open to members and social players. - Saturday and Sunday: club competitions.
The club also hosts social, corporate and charity golf days for anything from a single player to a field of 120, and runs pro-ams and charity days through the year.
The course has practice facilities. The clubhouse has a bar, gaming room, a function room for up to 120 people and a children's play room, and a Chinese restaurant overlooking the course serves lunch from noon to 2pm and dinner from 5:30pm to 8pm, seven days. A courtesy bus covers Tin Can Bay and Cooloola Cove. Clubhouse dress is neat casual, with no singlets or hats and shoes worn at all times.
