About the course

Esk Country Golf Club is a small country club at 152 Esk Hampton Road, Esk, in the Brisbane Valley. Its clubhouse is licensed and air-conditioned, takes EFTPOS, and has pool and darts as well as the bar.

Visitors pay a single green fee of $15 whether they play nine or 18 holes, and visitors entering open competitions pay $20. Rounds are booked by phoning the club on 0493 565 095. Only a few carts and sets of clubs are available for hire, so ask when booking.

The club's 2026 programme sets out a regular competition week: - Tuesday: social 18-hole games, usually starting at 7.30am or 8.30am. - Thursday: competition at 7.30am from October to May, and 8.30am from June to September. - Friday: nine-hole social game at 3pm, or 2.30pm from May to August. - Saturday: competition at 9am from November to February, with a later start for the rest of the year. - Sunday: the Chooky at 7.30am, or 8.30am from May to August.

Start times can change for events and hot weather, and the committee can close the course when play would damage it. The programme also lists dates when the course is closed for local events, including the Esk Races, the Esk Campdraft and the Esk Show, so it is worth phoning ahead around those weekends. Esk also hosts several rounds of the Ipswich District Veteran Golfers Association calendar each year.
