About the course
Mount Morgan Golf Club is at 2 Golf Links Road, Hamilton Creek, on the edge of Mount Morgan in the Rockhampton region. It is a sand-greens course, and on 7 and 8 June 2025 it was the host club for the Queensland Ladies Sand Green Championships for the first time. The 36-hole state title is run by Golf Queensland, and Rockhampton Regional Council expected it to bring more than 100 competitors and their families to the town. The council backed the club with a $2,000 community grant.
The club sets out to get people of all ages learning, competing and playing. The weekly program has a 13-hole Sporters Club on Thursday mornings, and Sunday morning is the main competition day. Buggies are available for hire.
The clubhouse has a licensed bar and a function room, and can be hired for events. The club does not publish green fees online, so call (07) 4938 1220 or email mountmorgangolfclub@gmail.com before visiting; it also posts news on its Facebook page.
