About the course
Roma Golf Club is at 119 Tiffin Street in Roma, in the Maranoa region of southern inland Queensland. The club was founded in 1924.
The course has 18 holes with grass greens and wide fairways, where local wildlife is sometimes seen during a round. Par, hole lengths and the course's design history are not published online.
Roma was one of the venues for the first Outback Queensland Masters in 2019, and the series came back to the club in June 2022. The Masters is an amateur series staged across Queensland's outback over consecutive winter weekends, aimed at social and first-time golfers as well as regular players. The club also hosts community and charity days, such as the Family of League annual golf day, a nine-hole event with lunch, raffles and an auction.
Visitors are welcome. Green fees are not published online, so ring the club on 07 4622 1233 before heading out. The tourism listing notes a bar and food and refreshments at the clubhouse, and club news is posted on its Facebook page.
