About the course

Kenton Valley Golf Course is a family-owned course at 26 Nether Hill Road, Kenton Valley, in a valley in the Adelaide Hills near Gumeracha. It is about 20 minutes from Tea Tree Gully and 45 minutes from the Adelaide CBD. The course is run as the Kenton Valley Super 60, an incorporated association, and its Saturday morning competition has been held for more than 20 years.

The 18-hole layout is a Golf Australia accredited par 60 of 3,020 metres. Twelve holes are par 3s and six are par 4s of up to 265 metres, and the creeks are played as hazards. Holes 3, 9, 12 and 18 cross over, and the scorecard asks players to take care there. A round takes well under a day.

The course is open to the public seven days a week from 8.30am to 5.30pm, and on most public holidays. There is no strict dress code. Green fees are $30 for 18 holes and $22 for nine, with concession and children's rates; club hire is $10 and golf carts are $40. Golflink members can join the Saturday morning competition, teeing off between 8.30am and 10.30am, provided they play with at least one other Golflink member. A three-player ambrose twilight competition runs on Tuesday evenings at 6pm over ten weeks.

Facilities are simple: a club shop for snacks and drinks, free parking, picnic grounds and an undercover barbecue area that social groups and clubs can use for a day out.
