About the course

Goomalling Golf Club is on the Goomalling-Calingiri Road, a few minutes from the Goomalling townsite in the Wheatbelt. The club opened on 21 July 1915.

The course has 18 holes with sand greens. The club's layout plan shows the clubhouse and car park beside the road with a practice fairway next to them. The 1st to 5th lie east of the clubhouse and the 6th to 9th to the north, while the back nine is laid out to the west, with the 11th to 15th along the western boundary before the 16th, 17th and 18th head back towards the clubhouse. Golf is played in season from April to September.

The course is open to the public except when the club is hosting a major event, and GolfWA lists it as a public access course. During the season, visitors and new members are welcome to join competitions or play a social round outside competition times. The club holds open days through the year, including a ladies' open day, a mixed 4BBB open day and the Coombes Cup men's open day.

The clubhouse is usually unattended, so social golfers pay green fees before play through the honesty box in the meter box on the clubhouse's front verandah, which holds fee envelopes and cards; keep your receipt with you while you play.
