About the course
Lakeview Golf Club, also listed as Lake View Golf Club, is on the Katanning-Dumbleyung Road at Dumbleyung in the Western Australian Wheatbelt. GolfWA's club directory lists it as a public-access course.
The club plays a winter season that runs from about the start of April to the end of September. As well as a golf club it is a social club and a venue for the town.
Everyone is welcome, including people who have never played, and members will help newcomers find their way around. Some golf clubs are available for hire. The club's Mixed Open Day appears on GolfWA's fixture list. Green fees are not published online, so email lakeview.dyg@gmail.com to check dates and costs before visiting.
The club is building a junior girls' program. In April 2025 it was one of ten WA clubs to receive funding from the Australian Golf Foundation's Junior Girls Scholarship Program, and the only remote rural club in that group. The scholarships went to ten students from Dumbleyung Primary School and cover coaching in school terms 2 and 3, a year's junior membership with playing rights, and a Golf Australia handicap.
