About the course

Katanning Country Club, on Round Drive in Katanning, is a multi-sport club that brings golf together with tennis, squash and bowls. Its golf course is set in bushland and was voted WA's Best Regional Golf Course in 2014.

The course has 18 holes over 6056 metres, par 72. Fairways and tees are grassed and reticulated, while the greens are white sand, and there are 17 bunkers. The club says the course is playable all year round and in almost all weather, and members hold both summer and winter competitions.

Visitors pay green fees with a QR code at the first tee: $30 for 18 holes and $15 for nine. There are no carts for hire. The club's fixtures list Saturday and Thursday competitions, and the fixtures booklet asks for neat dress, with tailored trousers and collared shirts acceptable but no tracksuits or untidy jeans. The club office is staffed on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons and from 6.30am to 3pm on Thursdays.

Practice facilities include a driving range and a putting green. The clubhouse has change rooms and a bar where members and their friends can relax, and there is ample parking for cars, caravans and coaches. Elsewhere on the site are eight tennis courts, four squash courts and a bowling green.
