About the course
Pingrup Golf Club plays on Reserve 24202 at Pingrup, on the Nyabing-Pingrup Road. Pingrup is one of the two towns in the Shire of Kent, a wheat and sheep district in the Great Southern about 320 kilometres from Perth. GolfWA lists the club in its directory of affiliated clubs.
The club has had a quiet patch. In October 2020 the Shire noted that the clubhouse had not been used for some time and proposed disconnecting its power, which the Council was paying for, until the club was reactivated. The club has since regrouped: in March 2025 the Shire of Kent approved a 21-year lease of part of Reserve 24202 to the Pingrup Golf Club at $1 a year, running from April 2025 to March 2046 for recreation use. The council described the club as a longstanding community facility and said the lease would give it long-term security and the ability to maintain and develop the facility.
The club says it welcomes players of all ages and experience. The number of holes, type of greens, green fees and competition days are not published online. Contact the club through its Facebook page before travelling.
