About the course
Wollongong Golf Club was established in 1897, making it one of the older clubs in Australia, and sits on Corrimal Street at the edge of the Wollongong CBD, between the beach and the Illawarra escarpment. The course map describes it as the home of the Ford NSW Women's Open in 2025 and 2026, and the club has also hosted NSW PGA Championships and the Australian Junior Amateur.
The 18-hole course is links style, with five holes beside the beach, ocean views and ground shaped by sea breezes, and a backdrop of the escarpment.
Visitors can book through the club's public bookings portal, which is open to everyone, and current prices are shown when booking. The club runs corporate golf day packages. PGA professionals offer private lessons, group coaching and on-course tuition for all levels, and juniors can join MyGolf clinics. A social membership costs $10 a year and gives member pricing in the clubhouse.
The clubhouse, The Nineteenth, has The Deck restaurant upstairs with coastal views, the Tap Inn Bar and Lounge downstairs with direct access to the pro shop and course, and the open-air 1897 Garden Bar, which trades seasonally and has a children's playground. The club also has 4-star seaside accommodation and secure parking on site.
