About the course
Coppabella Golf Course is a nine-hole course in the small town of Coppabella, about 45 kilometres from Moranbah, on Barada Barna country. It is run through the Coppabella One Stop on Lee Street, which sells fuel, groceries and cafe food and has public toilets.
All nine holes have grass greens, and local volunteers look after the course. There are 100-metre markers, and a layout map is shown on the One Stop's golf page. Par and hole lengths are not published. The course is aimed at casual rounds, practice and newcomers to the game.
Locals and visitors are both welcome. Non-members pay $15 a round, settled at the One Stop before teeing off. The One Stop also hires carts for $30 and clubs with a trolley for $20 (junior sets $10), or a $50 package covers nine holes, a cart and clubs. Players are asked to carry a sand bucket, fill divots and let faster groups through. The store is open from 5am to 7pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 5pm on Sunday.
