About the course

Tieri Golf Club is at 7 Maywin Drive in the Central Highlands mining town of Tieri, about a kilometre up the hill from Langerak Park. Volunteers set the club up around 1985 as one of the town's first recreational facilities, with a donga as the original clubhouse, and parts of the clubhouse were being rebuilt in 2026.

The course is open to visitors from early morning until dark. Visitors pay as they play: the club quoted $10 a round in April 2026, paid into an honesty box by cash or card, while the town's golf page lists $10 for nine holes and $20 for 18, with children under 10 free. Annual membership is $300.

  • Friday: the Chook Run, a six-hole social round for $10, open to members and non-members.
  • Saturday: social Ambrose with teams picked on the day, $10 for non-members.
  • Sunday: handicap competitions for members with a Golf Australia number, plus a monthly medal.

The main event is the Tieri Pro-Am, a PGA-sanctioned tournament; the 2026 edition in June was the 12th, drawing 38 professionals and 72 amateurs. The Tieri Open is held early in the year.

The clubhouse bar opens 2pm to 7pm on weekdays and from 10am on weekends, with hot food and drinks, and a small shop sells balls, gloves and tees. The venue can be hired for $350 a day.
