About the course
Cunnamulla Golf Club is on Humeburn Road at Cunnamulla, the Paroo Shire town on the Warrego River in South West Queensland, about 160 kilometres by road from Charleville. The club was established in the 1950s, and its course is set among the surrounding bush.
The 18 holes have sand greens and dirt fairways, which sets the course apart from conventional grass layouts. In 2023 the club hosted a leg of the Outback Queensland Masters, the travelling tournament series played on remote outback courses.
Visitors are welcome, and the club says it welcomes golfers with access needs. Club competitions run from March to the end of October and start at 12pm. During the warmer months a social "chook run" is played every Sunday at 3pm.
The clubhouse has a bar, food and refreshments, and lawns and gardens, and it often runs on an honesty system. Green fees are not published online, so contact the club on 07 4655 1375, by email at Cunnamullagc@gmail.com or through its Facebook page before visiting.
