About the course

Charleville Golf Club is on May Street in Charleville, in South West Queensland. The town sits on the banks of the Warrego River. The club hosted the Outback Queensland Masters in 2019, 2021 and 2024.

The course has 18 holes and plays to a par of 72. It is laid out on red soil among native vegetation, with natural fairways. Current tourism listings describe sand greens, while a 2019 regional tourism article described sand and grass greens alternating around the course. On a sand green, players rake a smooth line to the hole before putting. Despite the nearby river, the course has no water hazards. The par-three 12th has trees overhanging close to the green, so the tee shot needs to be struck cleanly.

The club runs regular competitions and social days, and visitors are welcome. The clubhouse has a bar and serves food and refreshments, and the grounds include lawns and gardens. The club welcomes players with access needs.

Green fees and competition days are not published online, so check with the club before visiting.
