About the course

Quilpie Golf Club is on Eagle Drive in Quilpie, an opal town in Queensland's south-west outback. The club is an incorporated association and posts its news on Facebook.

The 18-hole course is a red earth layout with natural fairways and sand greens, and the club itself sits on a small patch of green grass within the surrounding red earth. Par, hole lengths and the club's history are not published online.

The club has been a host venue for the Outback Queensland Masters, the amateur series staged across the outback each winter, in 2021, 2023 and 2024. Its own main event is the Quilpie Golf Open, held each year over a weekend in mid-August: - Saturday: a fun day with an 18-hole four-ball Ambrose, or nine holes for non-golfers. - Sunday: the Quilpie Open, an 18-hole stroke event with A, B and C grades for men and A and B grades for women.

The next Open is listed for 13 to 15 August 2027, with tickets sold online.

Visitors are welcome. Green fees are not published, so contact the club on 0476 166 378 before a round. The tourism listing notes a bar and food and refreshments at the club.
