About the course

Bremer Bay Golf Club is part of the Bremer Bay Sports Club on Frantom Way, Bremer Bay. Local golfers began building their own links in 1967, laying out the first fairways on coastal reserve land, and the club was formed at a public meeting in July 1969. The first public day was held that November and the 1970 season opened in March. In 1972 members proposed broadening the club into the Bremer Bay Sports Club, and the golf club was re-formed under the sports club's constitution in 1974.

The course is an 18-hole, par 72 sand-green links laid out over old sand dunes. The front nine is heavily wooded and partly parkland, while the back nine is open links country close to the beach with views of the ocean. Golf is played all year.

Visitors are welcome every day. Club competition is on Sundays, also open to visitors:

  • April to October: names in by 11.30am for a 12pm hit-off
  • November to March: Summer Scroungers, names in by 1.30pm for a 2pm hit-off

The green fee is $20 for 18 holes and $15 for nine, and $15 for the Summer Scroungers. Payment instructions are posted on the clubroom door beside the 1st tee. Club hire can be arranged through the president or captain.

The sports club building has a fully stocked bar, a commercial kitchen, a hall seating 120 and an outdoor barbecue area, and is shared with the bowls and tennis clubs.
