About the course

Derby Golf Club, sometimes called the Boab Course, is in Derby in the West Kimberley. It has 11 holes with grass greens, arranged so that a full round covers 18 holes. The clubhouse is shared with the Derby Sportsmen's Club, which handles enquiries for the golf club and runs a bar where visitors are made welcome.

The club is on GolfWA's regional fixture calendar. The Derby Open was scheduled for 1 and 2 August 2026, listed under the name Derby Boabs Golf Club, and GolfWA's draft 2027 fixtures list it again for 28 and 29 August 2027. In 2021 the WA Golf Foundation sent a PGA coach and a GolfWA development officer to the course for four days of clinics with juniors, teenagers and new women members.

The Shire of Derby/West Kimberley lists a weekly program: - Wednesday: men's competition from 2pm. - Thursday: women's competition from 2pm. - Saturday: 18-hole competition, sign in by 12pm for a 12.30pm tee off. - Sunday: nine-hole competition, sign in by 2.30pm for a 3pm tee off.

For current green fees and playing times, contact the Derby Sportsmen's Club on (08) 9191 1126 or through its Facebook page.
