About the course

Kalbarri Golf Club, part of the Kalbarri Golf and Bowling Club, was established in 1975 on raised ground in the town of Kalbarri, at the mouth of the Murchison River, about 1.5 hours' drive north of Geraldton. The course looks out over the Indian Ocean, Chinaman's Lookout and the Weld Ranges, and Kalbarri National Park surrounds the town on three sides. Members and volunteers built the course and clubhouse, and Kalbarri was the first regional WA town to agree with the Water Authority to irrigate a fully reticulated golf course with treated waste water.

The course is 18 holes, par 72 and 5,747 metres, with saltine greens, couch fairways and multi-level greens. Seven water hazards and nine sand hazards come into play.

Visitors are welcome on any day. Green fees are paid at the golf shop, which takes course and cart bookings and hires out motorised carts, clubs and pull trolleys; contact the shop on 0417 724 771. Children aged 16 and under play free when supervised by an adult member. The club hosts fixtures and open events through the year, listed on its events page.

The clubhouse on Rochester Street, shared with the bowling greens, has a large licensed bar, a commercial kitchen and seating for about 150, with accessible facilities throughout.
