About the course
Darkan Golf Club is in Darkan, in the Shire of West Arthur, and is based at the Darkan Sport and Community Centre on Memorial Drive. The centre is shared with bowls, tennis, junior basketball and football clubs, and has a licensed bar, function room and kitchen; venue bookings go through the West Arthur Community Resource Centre.
Golf in Darkan is a winter-season game played on sand greens. Club days are Saturday for men and Wednesday for women. Golf WA lists Darkan as a public-access course, and two Darkan open days, a mixed open day and a ladies' open day, are on Golf WA's 2026 fixture list.
The club is registered as a Get Into Golf centre, and in June 2023 it ran its first Get Into Golf coaching sessions for women, with 17 taking part over three weeks.
The Shire of West Arthur has two smaller sand-green courses as well: Moodiarrup Golf Club, a nine-hole course with 18 tees and a Saturday club day with a 12.30pm hit-off, and a nine-hole course at the Arthur River Country Club.
Holes, par and green fees for Darkan are not published online.
