About the course
Denman Golf Club is based at the Denman Sports Complex in the Upper Hunter town of Denman. The council operates the course, and the club's members look after it.
The course has nine holes with grass greens and is played twice for an 18-hole round: par 72 over 5,869 metres from the white tees, and par 72 over 5,174 metres for women from the red tees. Each nine opens with a long par 5 of more than 460 metres, and the 7th and 16th are par 5s of 514 and 518 metres. The short holes include a 142-metre 5th and a 112-metre 14th.
The course is open at all hours, and visitors pay at an honesty box at the first tee; the fee is not published online. Social golf is available seven days a week. Men's and women's competitions are played on Saturdays, and Tuesday is ladies' day.
