About the course
Warren Golf Club is on the Oxley Highway at Warren, in the Macquarie Valley about 75 minutes' drive north of Dubbo and roughly six hours from Sydney. The course looks out over Gunningbar Creek.
The 18-hole course is a par 70 of 5805 metres with a mix of greens: 12 are grass and six are sand scrapes, so a single round is played on both. Golf NSW singles out the par 4 2nd, the par 4 9th and the par 3 13th as the holes to note.
The course is open to the public seven days a week and green fees are paid at the bar. Fee amounts are not published online. The weekly competition schedule is:
- Sunday: men's competition
- Wednesday and Saturday: women's competitions
- Thursday: Business Houses nine-hole social golf, played at any time in teams, alternating four-person and two-person ambrose
- Friday afternoon: veterans' competition
The club also runs ambrose, charity and golf days through the year. The clubhouse has a bar and Benny's Chinese Restaurant, and there is an outdoor play area for children.
