About the course

Trangie Golf Club has been part of the town since 1911. Trangie is in Narromine Shire in the Orana region of central western New South Wales, about 34 kilometres west of Narromine and 71 kilometres from Dubbo on the Mitchell Highway, and the course is on Links Road. The club belongs to the Western District and Western District Ladies golf associations.

The 18-hole course has black-soil greens, which volunteers help the groundsman look after by sanding and oiling them. There are no bunkers, and short trees line the fairways. It plays to par 71 for men and par 72 for women, over 5,998 metres from the blue tees and 5,457 metres from the red tees.

  • 6th: the shortest hole, a 110-metre par 3.
  • 13th: a 447-metre par 5.
  • 17th: the longest of the par 3s at 220 metres.
  • 18th: a 512-metre par 5 to finish, the longest hole on the course.

Visitors are welcome, and Golf NSW lists social golf at Trangie on every day of the week. The club runs open events for men, women and veterans as well as charity and corporate days; the program is available from the club. Green fees and booking arrangements are not published online.
