About the course

Dubbo Golf Club is on Whylandra Street on the western bank of the Macquarie River in Dubbo, with Golf Links Creek running through the property. The 27-hole layout is set among native trees, with 11 waterways, and kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas and native birds are often seen on the course.

The 27 holes are played as three 18-hole combinations, with blue, orange, white and red tees.

  • 1st: a 472-metre par 5 with out of bounds on the right and a long green bunkered on both sides.
  • 9th: a 344-metre par 4 that doglegs left to an elevated green sloping from back to front.
  • 18th: a 184-metre par 3, which the club rates its hardest short hole, with a green that slopes sharply from left to right and three bunkers.
  • 27th: a 325-metre par 4 with a narrow tee shot and water short and left of the green.

Visitors are welcome for social golf and in the club's weekly competitions. Social green fees start at $47 for 18 holes and $33 for nine, competition fees for visitors start at $49, and tee times can be booked online. The pro shop is open seven days from daylight to dark and hires clubs, buggies and motorised carts, which can be booked by phone. The club publishes a course dress code.

The modern clubhouse includes a convention and reception centre with a dining and functions menu, and the club runs events through the year including the Dubbo Open, an Easter tournament and a summer twilight series.
