About the course
Tambo Golf Club is on the Alpha Tambo Road at Tambo, in the Blackall-Tambo area of Queensland's Central West. The course has sand greens and natural fairways set into the outback landscape, playing conditions change with the seasons, and local wildlife is often seen during a round.
In 2022 Tambo hosted a round of the Outback Queensland Masters, the amateur golf series that moves between outback towns over six weeks in June and July. The number of holes and the par are not published online.
The clubhouse has a bar and serves food and refreshments, and the grounds include lawns and gardens. The club runs a calendar of social events that visitors can join.
