About the course

Cobden Golf Club is on Neylon Street in the south-west Victorian town of Cobden. Its clubhouse doubles as a community venue, with a bar looking over the course, a partner bistro and function rooms.

The course has Santa Ana couch fairways and bentgrass greens, and the club pitches it at golfers of every standard. It does not publish its hole count or par online.

Visitors can play at any time: phone the club on 03 5595 1393, email info@cobdengolf.com.au or call in at the clubhouse to arrange a game, as online MiClub bookings are for members. Club competitions are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and a Thursday night "Chicken Run", with a $5 entry, starts with daylight saving and is open to anyone; book in at the clubhouse.

The club's main event is the annual Week of Golf, sponsored by the BP Cobden Roadhouse and Motel. The 2027 edition is listed for 19 to 27 February, with more than $160,000 in prizes including hole-in-one prizes of cars and golf carts, and entries taken through MiTournament.

The clubhouse is open seven days: from noon to 8pm on Mondays, 10am to 10pm Tuesday to Thursday, and 10am to 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays, opening at 10am on Sundays. Bistro on Neylon, a family-run restaurant working with the club, serves lunch from 12pm to 2pm and dinner from 5.30pm to 8.30pm Tuesday to Friday and Sunday, dinner only on Saturday, and is closed on Mondays; Tuesday is parma night and Wednesday steak night. Bistro bookings are on 0482 632 586. The club also runs a junior golf program and Friday night members' draws.
