About the course
Warracknabeal Golf Club is on Golf Links Road on the edge of Warracknabeal in the Wimmera. It is a licensed club with a bowls section alongside the golf, and it is part of the Wimmera district tournament circuit, which its fixture book lists from April to December.
The 18-hole course has irrigated fairways and greens, and is played from white, maroon and gold tees, with a separate scorecard for each set. Scores are entered on the Mi-Score kiosk in the clubhouse or through the phone app.
The weekly program is busy for a country club:
- Tuesday and Wednesday: the "Gerries" nine-hole competition from 9am, open to all.
- Wednesday: women's competition day.
- Thursday: a Stableford "meal run" over 18 or nine holes.
- Saturday: open and women's events, with a morning hit-off and an afternoon draw from noon.
- Public holidays: open and women's Stableford competitions.
On days forecast to reach 38 degrees or more, the club's heat policy moves competitions to an early start between 7am and 9am off two tees, so check times with the club in summer. The annual tournament runs over four days in mid November (12 to 15 November in 2026), and free RV sites are offered on site for players during that week; Easter and spring events are also on the fixture. The dress code is neat casual: no singlets on the course or in the clubhouse, and no thongs, sandals or boots on the course.
Visitor green fees for 2026 are $25 for 18 holes and $15 for nine, with a $10 daylight saving special after 6pm. A summer membership was offered for $150 from November 2025 to April 2026.
