About the course
Welshpool Golf Club is at the far eastern end of the South Gippsland golf district, on Port Welshpool Road, with Wilsons Promontory in view.
The nine-hole course plays as an 18-hole round of 5388 metres, with a par of 68 from the men's white tees (scratch rating 69, slope 115). It is lightly bunkered with only gentle undulations, but the fairways are tight, and the club notes that nobody has yet broken par on it.
Visitors are welcome to take on the course. The green fee is $12, which covers a full day of play. Competitions are run for men on Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday and for women on Wednesday, and the club holds an annual tournament in late March or early April.
