About the course

Berrigan Golf and Bowling Club is at 38 Stewart Street in Berrigan, a Riverina town of about 1,000 people roughly halfway between Albury and Echuca and about 30 km north of Barooga. The club, which also goes by Berrigan Community Golf and Bowling Club, has an 18-hole course and two bowling greens.

The course is fully watered and plays to par 72, measuring 5,931 metres from the blue tees and 5,344 metres from the red tees. Golf NSW rates the blue tees at 70 with a slope of 116, and the red tees at 73 with a slope of 117. The kikuyu fairways are reasonably wide and the tees are raised and clearly defined. The bentgrass greens are small to medium in size, slope towards the front and can become quick. There are just seven bunkers, with greenside bunkers on four holes.

Social golfers and visitors are welcome, and social golf is played seven days a week. When the club is unattended, green fees go in an honesty box; amounts are not published online. Competitions are held on Sundays (mixed), Wednesdays (ladies), Fridays (mixed) and Saturday afternoons (mixed). For current fees, ring the club on 03 5885 2229.
