About the course

Boggabri Golf Club serves Boggabri, a small historic town on the Kamilaroi Highway 55 km south-east of Narrabri in north-west New South Wales. The town's name comes from the Kamilaroi for "place of many creeks", and it has a long farming history.

The course has nine holes, with tree-lined fairways, sand greens and several water hazards. An unusual feature is the wheat the club grows between the fairways to help fund the club.

The golf season runs from March to the end of October. Visitors and new members are welcome, and Golf NSW lists social golf at the club on every day of the week. The course plays to par 70 for men and par 72 for women over 18 holes, with the nine played twice. Green fees and a club phone number are not published online, so check with the club before travelling, particularly outside the season. The club also serves as a community venue: in November 2024 it hosted a charity golf day with an afternoon round and guests from rugby league.

Boggabri has an RSL club, a motel, a caravan park with cabins and a hotel, and a heritage trail covering 31 sites across the three streets that have served as the town's business centre over the years.
