About the course

Gunnedah Golf Club is on George Street in Gunnedah, in north-west New South Wales close to the New England Highway. The club was founded in 1919 and has grown from a small country course into a community hub with a bistro, bar and function rooms.

The course is an 18-hole, par 70 layout with bent grass greens and tree-lined fairways. Golf NSW lists the women's par as 73 and describes the course as flat, set in a residential area among many trees.

Social golf is available seven days a week, and members and guests are both welcome. Tee times are booked through the club's OneGolf booking site; visitor green fees are not published online. Golf carts and pull buggies can be hired from the pro shop. The October 2026 calendar shows social play on Mondays, ladies' events on Tuesdays and Thursdays, a nine-hole stableford on Wednesdays, a pro shop nine-hole event on Fridays and the main competition, including the monthly medal, on Saturdays.

The pro shop opens Tuesday to Sunday from 8am to 5.30pm and offers club fitting, repairs, lessons with the resident coach and junior clinics on Thursday afternoons. It also houses an air-conditioned, licensed Trackman indoor simulator. The clubhouse bistro serves lunch and dinner with indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the course, and the bar runs happy hour on Thursday and Saturday evenings.
