About the course
Casino Golf Club is at 147 West Street, Casino, in the Richmond Valley, and the club dates from 1905. The clubhouse backs onto the Jabiru Geneebeinga Wetlands and the town's miniature railway, and the course is about five minutes from the Northern Rivers Rail Trail.
The 18-hole course is pitched at golfers of all standards, from experienced players to beginners and social golfers, and the club's motto is "play with nature". The Golf NSW scorecard measures it at 5,251 metres from the white tees.
Social play is available all day on Mondays and Sundays, and on other days once the competitions finish: from 12pm on Tuesday (veterans), 9.30am on Wednesday and Friday (ladies), 1pm on Thursday (men) and 1pm on Saturday (medley). Public green fees are $37 for 18 holes and $22 for nine, and cart hire is $40 for 18 holes and $25 for nine. Bookings are made by phoning the pro shop on (02) 6662 8333 or by email. A junior clinic runs on Wednesdays at 4pm during school terms.
The pro shop stocks equipment and apparel and offers lessons and custom club fitting with the club's professional. The clubhouse has Mun Tien restaurant, open for lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Sunday, a bar and bottle shop open daily from 9am, function spaces, and a courtesy bus from Wednesday to Sunday.
