About the course
Coonamble Golf Club is at 16 Caswell Street, Coonamble, on the central-western plains of New South Wales. The town sits roughly halfway between Dubbo and Lightning Ridge, about six and a half hours' drive from Sydney, and the course is on the edge of town next to the ground where the Coonamble Jockey Club holds its race meetings. In 2019 the club described itself as almost 100 years old, with most of its members working on the land, and it used a NSW Golf Foundation grant to switch the clubhouse to LED lighting, a change expected to save about $4,000 a year in power costs.
The 18-hole course has sand greens and plays to par 69 for men and 70 for women. The blue tees measure 5,673 metres, with a course rating of 67 and a slope of 103, and the red tees measure 5,097 metres, rated 67 with a slope of 105.

The clubhouse has a bar, indoor and outdoor dining with a Chinese restaurant, and a child-friendly area for families, and it hosts functions and entertainment.
