About the course
Crookwell Golf Club sits beside the showground on the edge of Crookwell, on top of the Great Dividing Range in the Goulburn area. Golf has been played by the club since 1926, and 2026 is its centenary year, marked by a three-person ambrose with a shotgun start on Saturday 28 November 2026. The course is maintained by volunteers.
It is a nine-hole course with 18 tees, tree-lined fairways, grass greens and water hazards on several holes. It plays to par 70 for men at 5,748 metres from the blue tees (slope 123) and par 73 for women at 5,251 metres from the red tees.
Social golf is open to members and visitors seven days a week. The course fee is $20 for adults and $10 for juniors, paid at the clubhouse when it is open or through the QR code honesty system at the 1st tee. Saturday competitions are run in A and B grades and visitors are welcome, at $30 for an adult visitor; booking sheets usually open seven days before each round, and club championships are held around October. During daylight saving the Thursday afternoon chook run is a nine-hole social event costing $5, with no booking and handicaps set by the match committee. Three petrol carts can be hired, at $45 for visitors, and must be booked in advance.
The clubhouse has a bar with three beers on tap. In summer it opens on Thursdays from 4.30pm to about 9pm and on Saturdays from 10am to about 7pm; in winter it opens on Saturdays only. The 19th Hole bistro serves pizzas and meals on summer Thursdays from 5pm, eat in or takeaway, and caters for functions. The club notes that email is the best way to reach it because of its limited opening hours.
