Sylvan Glen is a 60-acre private estate at Penrose in the Southern Highlands, less than two hours from both Sydney and Canberra, with Bundanoon the nearest town. The property is run mainly as a wedding, event and group accommodation venue, with three houses on site, and its private nine-hole golf course is one of the activities offered to people staying there.

The course is a par 31 of 1,893 metres from the blue tees, with five par 3s and four par 4s. The longest hole is the 350-metre par 4 1st, and the shortest is the 104-metre par 3 9th. Golf NSW lists the layout with tight fairways, undulating bent grass greens, plenty of bunkers and a number of water hazards. Played twice from alternate markers it becomes an 18-hole round of 3,786 metres, with a slope rating of 104.

Golf NSW lists the course as exclusive to staying guests, and the estate describes it as its private course for guests to use during their stay. Green fees, tee times and equipment hire are not published online, so the estate should be contacted before planning a round.
