About the course

Deniliquin Golf Club is on Golf Club Road in Deniliquin, on the edge of the Murray Valley Regional Park and close to the town's shopping centre. The course is surrounded by native bushland and waterways, and birds and other wildlife are common.

The 18 holes play to par 72, measuring 5,848 metres from the blue tees and 5,118 metres from the red. The course is not long by modern standards but is a test from the back tees. Couch fairways are lined with gums and box trees, and hazards include Aljoes Creek, the levee bank, a new dam, a lily pond and bunkers. The greens are quick, particularly on downhill putts.

  • 10th: a 387-metre straight par 4, the hardest hole on the card for men.
  • 13th: a 151-metre par 3 that is open to the wind, which the club rates as its best short hole.
  • 17th: the signature hole, a 286-metre par 4 to a two-tiered green.
  • 18th: a 447-metre par 5 that bends slightly left and runs downhill.

Non-members pay $50 for 18 holes and $35 for nine, and reciprocal members $35 for 18. Carts cost $55 for 18 holes and $35 for nine. Bookings can be made online or through the pro shop. Competitions run on Tuesday (ladies nine holes), Wednesday (men), Thursday (ladies 18 holes) and Saturday (medley), and social golf is available seven days a week. The club hosts tournaments through the year that are open to visitors.

Facilities include a driving range, a pro shop open weekdays from 8am to 5pm, cart hire, a bar and the Flagstick Bistro.
