About the course
Peak Hill Golf Club is a small volunteer-run club on Golf Club Road at Peak Hill, in the Central West midway between Parkes and Dubbo. The course looks out to the Hervey Range.
The course has nine holes with sand greens and is played twice for an 18-hole round: 5,825 metres from the blue tees at par 70 for men, and 5,128 metres from the red tees at par 72 for women. The longest hole is the 517-metre 5th, a par 5, and the two par 3s are the 135-metre 2nd and the 175-metre 7th.
Visitors can play every day. Green fees go in an honesty box beside the clubhouse on the course side, where scorecards are also available. Competitions are held on Saturdays and Sundays, including a Sunday chicken chase, which starts at 4pm in summer and earlier in the cooler months. The Men's Open is played on the last Sunday in August, and the club open day, an ambrose, on the first Sunday in April.
The clubhouse can be hired for functions such as weddings, engagements, conferences and training seminars.
