About the course
Fox Hills Golf Club is at 55 Fox Hills Crescent, Prospect, in Western Sydney, about 7 kilometres from the Parramatta CBD, with access from the M4, the M7 and the Great Western Highway. The club's pro shop, the Fox's Lair, has traded since 1995.
The course, known as The Links, is an 18-hole parkland layout of par 69, measuring about 5,528 metres from the GA blue tees. It has four tee positions, with slope ratings from 124 to 131. Every hole has a name, and water comes into play on several of them.
- 1st (Zenith): a 348-metre par 4 with a downhill drive to a narrow fairway and water behind the green.
- 4th (Gauntlet): a 362-metre par 4, stroke index 1, with a peninsula fairway and a water carry to a small green.
- 5th (Quintessence): a 200-metre par 3 with water along the left and out of bounds on the right.
- 15th (Wee): a 97-metre par 3.
- 18th (Gambit): a 499-metre par 5 with water to clear from the tee and a steeply sloped green.
The course is open to the public seven days a week, with social times all day Monday and from mid-morning or after lunch on other days. Bookings are essential and walk-up starters are not accepted. Weekday green fees are $35 for 18 holes and $25 for nine, rising to $50 and $35 on weekends and public holidays. Visitor carts are $50 for 18 holes. Visitors with a handicap can enter competitions from Tuesday to Sunday, at $35 on weekdays and $45 on weekends.
The pro shop sells and hires equipment, fits clubs and offers lessons with a PGA teaching professional, and there are practice putting and chipping greens. The clubhouse closed in 2026 for renovations and a new bistro, with reopening planned for late 2026; the course stayed open.
