About the course

Griffith Golf Club is marking its centenary in 2026, 100 years on from 1926, with a gala dinner among the celebrations. The course sits in the foothills of Scenic Hill beside Griffith Airport, about seven minutes from central Griffith.

The 18-hole course plays to par 71 over 5,893 metres for men and par 72 over 5,313 metres for women. It has kikuyu fairways and bentgrass greens, and the fairways are lined with native trees, with kangaroos and birdlife common. There are only two bunkers and no water hazards, so the challenge comes from the layout itself. The clubhouse balcony looks over the 1st tee and the 9th and 18th greens, and the club has hole-by-hole videos on its website.

The course is open seven days a week except Christmas Day. Non-members pay $30 for unlimited holes, and the visitor competition fee is $32. Green fees must be paid before teeing off, groups are limited to four players and a dress code applies. Games are booked online through the pro shop booking site. Non-member cart hire is $50 for 18 holes and $35 for nine, and a full set of hire clubs is $40. The club's events include the Griffith Open, the Legends Pro-Am, a pro-am and the Corporate Cup.

The pro shop stocks clubs, clothing, bags and shoes, and club professional Darryl Sando gives lessons, which for non-members cost $65 for 30 minutes and $110 for an hour. Course and pro shop hours run as late as 8pm in summer and close around 5pm in winter. The clubhouse is open Wednesday from 3pm to 6pm and on weekends from 11am to 7pm, and it is available for weddings, functions and bar hire. The club also offers play and stay packages.
