About the course
Hillston Golf Club, the trading name of the Lachlan River Sporting & Recreational Centre, is at 63 Mossgiel Road, just over the Lachlan River from Hillston in the western Riverina. Hillston is on the Kidman Way, about 75 minutes' drive from Griffith airport, seven and a half hours from Sydney and six and a half from Melbourne.
The course has 18 holes with sand greens. It measures 5141 metres from the blue tees and plays to par 70 for men and 71 for women. The fairways are grassed after rain but turn to red dirt in dry times.
Visitors are welcome. Green fees are not published online and are paid by EFTPOS at the clubhouse. Golf NSW lists competition days as Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, and the club posts upcoming events on its Facebook page.
The clubhouse is run by volunteers and has a bar and kitchen, open three days a week during competitions.
