About the course
Hurstville Golf Course is a community golf facility on Lorraine Street, Peakhurst, in Sydney's south, owned by Georges River Council and managed by BlueFit. The resident Hurstville Golf Club was established in 2005 and runs all of its competitions as gender-neutral events. A new clubhouse and pro shop opened in February 2023.
The 18-hole course has gentle rolling hills, natural hazards and quick greens. The club's hole guides add up to par 70, with six par 3s and four par 5s.
- 2nd: a 117-metre par 3 from an elevated tee that needs good distance control.
- 3rd: a 432-metre par 5, redesigned in 2014, with a generous fairway.
- 4th: the signature hole, a 162-metre par 3 over a large dam built in 2015 to harvest stormwater.
- 15th: the longest hole at 538 metres from the championship tees, a par 5 that bends slightly right to a green hidden from beyond about 130 metres.
- 17th: a 377-metre par 4 rated the hardest hole on the course.
The course is open to the public for casual, social, group and club golf from 6am to 6pm daily, and tee times can be booked online. The 2026 to 2027 fee schedule, which the operator notes is pending resolution, lists $43 for 18 holes and $30 for nine on weekdays, $49 and $37.50 on weekends, a weekday concession rate of $25.50 for nine or 18 holes, and an evening rate of $18.50. Carts, pull buggies and hire sets are available.
PGA professionals Stewart Hardiman and Paul Skinner offer private lessons, group clinics, club fitting and repairs, and the pro shop stocks equipment and apparel, including junior gear. The BlueFit Junior Academy runs weekly coaching for children from five years old. The site also has a cafe and barbecue facilities, and the club holds regular social events.
