About the course

Kangaroo Valley Golf & Country Retreat sits on Mt Scanzi Road in Kangaroo Valley, with views of the surrounding escarpments, about two hours by road from Sydney or Canberra. The course was originally designed by Jack Newton and was later extended to 18 holes. The property also offers villa accommodation, a restaurant, event and conference space, and golf and accommodation packages.

The course is a par 71 of 5,775 metres from the back markers, with four sets of tees. Its fairways are undulating, the greens are testing, and dams come into play on several holes. Golf NSW gives it a slope rating of 134 from the blue tees.

Green fees are open to the public. Midweek, from Monday to Thursday, 18 holes costs $50 and nine holes $35. From Friday to Sunday and on public holidays it is $60 and $45. Motorised carts cost $60 for 18 holes and $35 for nine, with club hire at $30 and pull buggies at $5. From December to the end of February a walking-only twilight rate applies from 4pm, at $30 for 18 holes and $20 for nine. Tee times can be booked online or by phone.

A mixed competition is held every Saturday for members and guests, with a $10 entry fee on top of the green fee, and a mixed competition runs on Wednesday mornings when numbers allow.
