About the course

Khancoban Golf Club is a nine-hole course with grass greens on Mitchell Avenue, Khancoban, in the Upper Murray district of NSW. The town sits on the Alpine Way at the south-western edge of Kosciuszko National Park, less than two hours' drive from Albury, and the Khancoban Pondage, part of the heritage-listed Snowy Mountains Scheme, is under ten minutes away. In winter the town is a base for trips to the Thredbo snowfields.

The nine holes are played twice for an 18-hole par of 72. From the blue tees the round measures 5,810 metres, and from the red tees 4,954 metres, with par 72 for both men and women. Each nine has two par 3s and two par 5s:

  • 3rd: a 447-metre par 5.
  • 4th: a 170-metre par 3.
  • 5th: the longest hole, a 462-metre par 5.
  • 9th: a 162-metre par 3 to finish the loop.

Social golf is available seven days a week, and local wildlife shares the fairways. The club runs a chook run on Thursdays, from 12.30pm for a 1pm hit-off, and its Saturday competition from 10.30am for an 11am hit-off. Golf carts, buggies and clubs can be hired. Green fees are not published online, and the club can be contacted through its Facebook page.
