About the course

Talbingo Country Club is in the Snowy Mountains village of Talbingo, about 35 km south of Tumut and 3 km off the Snowy Mountains Highway. The club overlooks Jounama Dam and is surrounded by mountains, and the golf course is reached from Miles Franklin Drive via Bridle Street.

The golf course has nine holes. Kangaroos graze on the course and there is plenty of birdlife. Par, course length and green fees are not published online, so ring the club on 02 6949 5260 or email admin@talbingocountryclub.com.au before you go.

Visitors are welcome every day, and Golf NSW lists social golf on all seven days of the week.

The course is part of a wider country club with tennis courts, a six-room motel, a restaurant and a licensed club. The club's dining serves Australian and Chinese meals, and the motel keeps the same rates all year rather than lifting them in peak season.

Talbingo is a base for fishing, bushwalking and mountain biking, Talbingo Dam and Blowering Dam are close by for swimming and water sports, and Selwyn Snowfields is about an hour's drive away.
