About the course

Thredbo's golf course is in Thredbo Village in the Snowy Mountains, running beside the Thredbo River and around the base of the ski mountain. The resort describes it as Australia's highest golf course, and it is open in the summer season, including summer 2026/27.

The nine-hole layout has one par 5, four par 4s and four par 3s, set among eucalypts and alpine wildflowers. Named hazards include the Snake Pit and Wally Wombat's House. On the Golf NSW card the men's par is 32 per nine, playing 4,217 metres over two loops from the blue tees.

The course is open to the public. Green fees are sold online through the Thredbo shop, and enquiries go to the resort on 1300 020 589. Golf NSW notes that play is on a turn-up-and-play basis through Thredbo Sports rather than booked tee times. The Thredbo Golf Club runs regular competitions, and all players are welcome to take part.

Thredbo also has a disc golf course.
