About the course
Lockhart Golf Club is on John Grant Drive, about a kilometre north of Lockhart; from Green Street, the main shopping street, take Urana Street out of town to reach it. Lockhart, known as the Verandah Town for the heritage streetscape along Green Street, is a National Trust-classified Riverina town about 45 minutes' drive south-west of Wagga Wagga.
The course lies within the Lockhart Community Forest, land for which Lockhart Shire Council is trustee and is preparing a plan of management. It is an 18-hole layout lined with medium-sized pines, with black sand greens and no bunkers. Most holes play straight, and on most the green can be seen from the tee.
Golf NSW lists social golf at the club on all seven days of the week. Par, green fees and a club phone number are not published online, so contact the club before visiting. Council reminds visitors that motorbike riding is not allowed anywhere in the community forest, golf course included.
Green fees
