About the course
Oak Point Golf Club plays over the former Liverpool Golf Club course at Lansvale in Western Sydney, on a peninsula formed by the Georges River and Prospect Creek beside Chipping Norton Lake. Liverpool Golf Club dates from 1931, when a course designed by Tommy Howard opened at Collingwood. A planned expressway forced a move to a former dairy property at Lansvale, where a course by Bob Green's firm, Golf and Recreation Planners, was opened by Governor Sir Roden Cutler on 4 December 1971. Kogarah Golf Club, which gave up its Arncliffe course for WestConnex in 2016, amalgamated with Liverpool on 1 July 2024 to form Oak Point, and the club has announced plans to redevelop the course and facilities.
The course is an 18-hole par 72 of 6,332 metres from the blue tees, with white (6,055 metres), red (5,486 metres) and gold (4,432 metres) tees for shorter rounds. Water comes into play on 14 holes. The layout has hosted the Australian PGA, the NSW Open in 2006 and 2007 and Australian Open qualifying.
Visitors are welcome. Social tee times are booked online after registering as a public member, or through the pro shop on (02) 9727 2422. Green fees for 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027 are $70 for 18 holes Monday to Friday and $80 at weekends, with nine holes or twilight after 3pm $40 any day. A $20 competition fee applies on competition days, and non-members are limited to 12 competition rounds a year. Collared shirts and tailored shorts or trousers are required, with long socks or short white socks when wearing shorts.
The golf shop stocks the major brands, and its PGA professionals offer custom fitting, regripping and coaching. The Your Golf Performance Academy, run independently at the club by Brent Dale, offers private lessons and group clinics.
