About the course
Sandbar Golf Course belongs to Sandbar and Bushland Holiday Parks at Smiths Lake, near Pacific Palms on the Mid North Coast, about three hours' drive north of Sydney. The course sits in a valley between tree-covered dunes next to Cellito Beach, also called Sandbar Beach, and the Bushland Park campground adjoins it.
It is a NSW-accredited nine-hole layout with a par of 31. The Golf NSW scorecard gives about 1,650 metres from the blue tees, with five par 3s, all between 92 and 139 metres, and par 4s of up to 307 metres. A walking trail follows the perimeter of the course, and kangaroos and kookaburras are often seen early and late in the day.
Visitors are welcome, and the course holds regular social competition days that visitors can join. Group and golf club visits can be arranged, with packages that include accommodation and a presentation barbecue. Prices from 1 January 2026 are $35 for adults, $25 for members and pensioners and $15 for under-16s. Dress is casual, but thongs are not permitted. Clubs can be hired.
The holiday parks have lake-view cabins, powered and unpowered sites, a convenience store, fuel, ice and gas barbecues for hire. Pets are not allowed.
