About the course
South West Rocks Country Club is at 2 Sportmans Way, South West Rocks, on the Macleay Valley Coast. As well as golf it has three bowling greens, four synthetic tennis courts, croquet and ten-pin bowling.
The 18-hole course is open seven days a week from 6:30am to 5:30pm. Par is 72 for both men and women, and the course measures 5,887 metres from the blue tees.
Visitors pay $50 for 18 holes and $40 for nine under the 2026-27 fees, reciprocal visitors pay $45 and $35, and visitors can enter competitions for $55. Visitor cart hire is $50 for 18 holes and $40 for nine, pull buggies are $10 and hire clubs $30 for 18 holes. Every player needs their own set of clubs and bag, play is in groups of four, and neat dress with socks and a shirt is required, with no football gear or beachwear. Tee times are arranged through the pro shop on (02) 6566 6880, and Sunday play must be booked. The weekly competition program:
- Tuesday: ladies' competition at 8am.
- Wednesday: men's and ladies' nine-hole veterans' competitions.
- Thursday: 18-hole open medley competition at 7am.
- Friday: nine-hole open chook run at 7:30am.
- Saturday: 18-hole men's competition at 7am.
Social play is fitted around these times. The pro shop carries major brands and offers Flightscope club fitting, repairs, coaching and group and junior clinics, and the practice green in front of the pro shop can be used for putting and chipping. The club also hosts the Macleay Valley Vets Week of Golf.
